BOSTON - The Boston Bruins have acquired veteran RW Jaromir Jagr from the Dallas Stars in exchange for LW Lane MacDermid, RW Cody Payne, and a conditional second-round pick in the 2013 draft.
Jagr comes to the Bruins days after a deal to bring Jarome Iginla from Calgary fell apart. Instead, Iginla chose to be moved to the Pittsburgh Penguins.
The Bruins hope Jagr (6PPG) can bring some offense to their power-play, which ranks 24th.
